What's the opportunity:
Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager Electric Powertrain & Digital Systems, you will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction and the commercial management of Electrical Distribution System (HV & LV Harnesses) commodity.
What you will do:
- Responsible for the negotiation and completion of Production Supplier Contracts within the assigned commodities.
- Supporting and managing the negotiation and completion of Production Supplier Contracts within the commodity.
- Partnering with Engineering, Quality and other support functions to develop the supplier strategy and ensure we are using the leveraging with best technology, cost and quality.
- Conducting and evaluating assessments of potential Suppliers and work with the Engineering Partner on the creation of Sourcing recommendations.
- Developing and maintaining supplier relationships, including supplier evaluation and risk management.
- Ensuring that the Supplier can fulfil Programme targets, including timing, cost, quality, technical attributes.
Who you are:
- Procurement/Purchasing experience, within manufacturing/production-based environment (desirable).
- Exposure and experience in negotiation.
- Strong influencing skills with experience of creating and maintaining networks across all levels of the business.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build strong relationships.
- Understanding in developing structured commodity strategies.
- Basic understanding of QAF analysis.
- Eager to learn from Experienced Senior Buyers.
