This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Warwick, Bicester or Guilford where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What's the opportunity
Reporting to the Direct Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving the development of a new commodity, attracting new suppliers, and building the processes and action plan for the near future. Your remit will be to build the Strategy of commodity from scratch, ensuring unity among team members and stakeholders. The scope of work included Lighting systems, Glazing, Panoramic roof, Sealing systems, all car Plastics, Side mirrors, Locking systems, Wiper & washer systems.
To excel in this role, you'll need to be positive and proactive, as well as inspirational and strategic in your thinking. Working with a team of skilled buyers and senior buyers, you'll be responsible for managing a team of 5 people minimum, developing supplier strategies, and overseeing contract management. Keeping unity & strong bundle between the team members is key for Forseven Culture.
What you will do:
• Strategy Development: Lead the development and support of the purchasing management team's strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
• End-to-End Process Management: Oversee the entire process from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with program objectives and milestones.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute significantly to the formulation of a strategy aimed at supporting mid to long-term growth goals, playing a pivotal role in driving organizational expansion.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Spearhead the development and management of supplier relationships, fostering partnerships that drive value and support business objectives.
• Contract Management and Negotiation: Take charge of contract management activities, including effective negotiation strategies, to secure favourable terms and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
• Supplier Performance Management: Implement robust systems for evaluating and managing supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement.
Who you are:
• Purchasing Experience: Demonstrated expertise in purchasing within the automotive manufacturing sector, specifically with exteriors
• Project Management: Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timely achievement of milestones.
• Effective Negotiation and Supply Base Management: Skilled negotiator with a track record of end-to-end supply base management, encompassing strategy development, sourcing, delivery, and ongoing supplier relationship management.
• Procurement Strategy Development: Experienced in formulating and executing clear procurement strategies, adept at driving transformative change within the business to optimize purchasing processes and outcomes.
• Influencing and Relationship Building: Strong influencing skills coupled with experience in networking and cultivating relationships at all organizational levels, facilitating collaboration and achieving shared objectives.
• Analytical Expertise: Possess excellent analytical skills, capable of distilling complex data into actionable insights and effectively communicating findings to stakeholders across the organization.
• Team Leadership: Experienced in building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment conducive to achieving collective goals and driving continuous improvement.
