What's the opportunity
Reporting to the Indirect Purchasing Manager, you will play a key role in sourcing, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to achieve cost savings, ensure quality, and maintain compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
What you will do:
• Executing and developing procurement activities for a range of indirect spend categories, such as engineering services, IT services & hardware, marketing, property, facilities, professional services.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement in supplier performance.
• Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure optimal terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service levels.
• Implementing strategies such as demand aggregation, supplier consolidation, and contract renegotiation to achieve cost reduction targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders across departments such as finance, operations, and legal to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and optimisation within the procurement function.
Who you are:
• Experience in purchasing within automotive or manufacturing industry
• Experience within these category areas: Marketing, Professional Services, Property, Facilities, HR, Engineering Services, IT Software & Hardware, Design Services, Automotive Sales Infrastructure (desirable)
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in purchasing tools and technologies, such as eSourcing platforms and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of purchasing best practices, contract law, and regulatory requirements.
