What you'll do....
Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and delivery of the Product Problem Management Process you will ensure that all identified product issues are brought to a successful resolution and where appropriate, all necessary lessons are learned.
- Driving the complete problem landscape and ensure all issues are progressed to resolution according to the agreed timeline.
- Leading and developing a small team of engineers (SVs - Problem Steerers) to ensure that all issues raised in their respective areas are managed in a transparent, timely and effective manner.
- Leading and coaching meetings to ensure all problem tickets are allocated to the appropriate process owner
- Creating reports and presenting the Quality Problem landscape to senior management on a regular basis as well as identifying and escalating priority issues as necessary.
- Working cross functionally and across the complete vehicle life cycle (from Design and Virtual build right through to Customer Warranty and End of Life) and ensure all problem issues are raised and assigned to the correct department.
- Evaluating and providing recommendations to help the business make data driven decisions on how to improve future product quality.
Who you are....
- Degree qualified or an equivalent experience in automotive manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience as a quality leader with a proactive, independent and self-starting approach.
- Experience in a fluid environment and able to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders including Design, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing and Sales.
- In depth knowledge of vehicle and/or component manufacture and the quality methods necessary to deliver premium products to multiple markets.
- A positive behavior mindset and influencer. Always looking for the best outcome for the customer and the business.
- Very strong presentational skills along with a logical and analytical thought process.
