This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Warwick or Bicester where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

The Opportunity:
In this role, you'll have ownership of the design process for responsible components within closure systems, leading the way in Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) practices to ensure optimal efficiency and quality. You'll be the driving force behind closure system design and attribute delivery, collaborating closely with Principal Engineers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
What you’ll do:
- Responsible for Design for manufacture and assembly for responsible components.
- Own the closure systems and attribute delivery.
- Report to Principal Engineers responsible for the relevant commodities.
- Prepares full project documents.
- Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials or products.
- Engineering responsibility (including design and release) of full vehicle body systems: Closures, Panels, Glazing, Sealing.
- Ensuring responsible designs meet legal compliance.
- Identify and highlight any areas for continuous improvement.
- Guide other CAD engineers in design standards and engineering practices.
Who you are:
- Strong and proven relevant experience required in closures of body mechanism.
- Significant closure system knowledge and experience.
- Automotive experience essential.
- A ‘can do’ attitude and are always focused on achieving great results.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders & drive towards a common goal.
- A calm multitasker who successfully managed, prioritise and executes against deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
