What's the opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Cost Engineer, you will work closely with buying, engineering, and manufacturing teams to achieve our budgetary targets and aid in bringing our product to market.
What you will do;
• Creating cost estimates for Piece, Tooling, and D&D using our cost estimation software and cost models that can be used in supplier negotiations.
• Managing and creating analysis templates for use within your function groups and commodities.
• Providing high quality and imaginative & innovative component technical solutions to project requirements.
• Supporting the procurement department on technical challenges, when discussing quotes with suppliers on cost negotiations
• Managing key stakeholders to identify plans of action in support of cost negotiations or working with suppliers on continuous improvements.
• Working within a cross functional environment within engineering, quality, sustainability, and external suppliers
Who you are
• Experience within quality, manufacturing, or cost engineering experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Experience within Automotive or Tier 1 supplier/engineering.
• Ability to influence and adapt to a forever changing environment.
• An analytical and methodical approach with an inquisitive mind
